The Color Guard

The Color Guard brings dynamic visual storytelling and artistic expression to the marching band program. Serving as the primary visual component during field shows, parades, and competitions, this auxiliary unit uses flags, equipment, and movement to bring the musical themes of the band to life.

What We Do:

• Equipment Artistry: Members master complex spinning and tossing techniques using standard equipment, including silks (flags), rifles, and sabres.

• Movement & Dance: Blending elements of modern dance, ballet, and precision drill, the guard executes choreographed routines that mirror the emotional dynamics and musical cues of the band's repertoire.

• Visual Synergy: Working in harmony with the Shield Letter Team, Majorettes, and Dance Team, the Color Guard provides the primary burst of color, texture, and drama on the field and parade route.

Requirements & Standard: Color Guard members display sharp coordination, rhythm, expressiveness, and physical endurance. Above all, team members embody pride, discipline, and artistic spirit as key ambassadors of the band program.
